Climate: Temperatures are expected to range from very cold. Temperatures range from 1°C overnight to a maximum of 20°C during the day, so please pack warmly. The Dormitory rooms all have heaters provided, and fans on request.
There is Dormitory and Camping available. There are only TWO powered RV/Campervan sites, if you would like to book these please contact the Steward and Bookings Officer to arrange this.

Accessibility: The stewarding team would like to make your attendance easier. We will be offering:
- Dormitory and motel style accommodation, in mixed room configurations. Most rooms contain a small en-suite.
- Non-powered camping, with access to the dormitory toilets and showers.
- The site is wheelchair accessible with ramps (though help will be needed to push wheelchairs up the hill to the Great Hall from the lower hall/lower dormitory accommodation).
- Laundry with washer and dryer onsite for emergencies (priority will be given to the Kitchen for the laundry)
- signage with images and words;
- food allergies will be catered for, if advised when booking
- accessible toilet and shower facilities are already on site
- accessible parking available
- a quiet room, which can be used by anyone who needs somewhere quiet for time-out, and for feeding and changing little ones.
There may be some needs we are unable to accommodate, due to site limitations. Please discuss needs with Event Stewards.

Companion Animals:
No fee, but by arrangement only; please email the event steward with COMPANION ANIMAL as the subject.

Camping: all camping is unpowered. Tents and/or caravans must be set up in the designated areas only.

Getting There:
The site is easily accessible from Yackandandah;
Once you are on the main street of Yackandandah:
- head SOUTH on Williams Street towards Myrtleford-Yackandandah Road for about 750m
- Turn RIGHT onto Back Creek Road and follow for 3.9km
- Turn RIGHT onto Schmidt Lane and follow for 900m
- The camp will be on your LEFT, take the SECOND Driveway (signage will be available) and park on the Driveway to access the Constable desk to sign in and get your accommodation allocation.

Public Transport: There is a twice daily CountryLink Train service to Wodonga and Albury from both Sydney and Melbourne, as well as VLine Trains from Melbourne. Pick up can be arranged if required.
If people are flying in, the closest airport is Albury. Transport can possibly be arranged if people are flying into Albury, however if you are hiring a car, please be aware that Schmidt lane is a gravel road and some hire car companies will charge you a fee or penalty for driving on those roads.

Site Facilities:
Constable and Performers Hall – reverse cycle heating/cooling, carpeted, parents room, hall and kitchen (not used for this event), outside area has cafe style seating, outdoor BBQ and washing up area.
Dormitory Block 1 – Mixed room sizes. 9 rooms, 5 with en-suites, toilet block and laundry.
Great Hall – large hall space with stage, new commercial kitchen, toilets.
Dormitory Block 2 – 6 mixed room sizes, smaller kitchen with dining and lounge areas (Cook’s Guild Kitchen), Guild’s Meeting Room/Chill out zone + library.
External Facilities:
Oval (with climbing tree for children AT OWN RISK/supervised adult permission), may be used for overflow camping.
Volleyball Court – will be used as a double list field
Bonfire – if not lit previously, will have bonfire, otherwise will have to find/supply wood.
Look out – perfect for Astronomy lovers!
Out of Bound Areas:
Site Managers Cottage and Right side of the driveway up the hill
Nearby: Doctor’s surgery; chemist; supermarket; pub; takeaway cafes, swimming pool. Closest hospital is Beechworth or Wodonga.
Swimming: There is a Council run swimming pool in town, and a dam down the road. All children must be supervised by a parent/guardian. All persons using the swimming pool must be in mundane swimwear (garb is not sufficient).
Wildlife: This is a RURAL Site and is just off Stanley State Forest and thus we may get wildlife on site, as well as livestock in the top paddock. Please do not disturb the animals. The site may potentially have some dangerous creatures (snakes, spiders, wasps etc), however there will be an on site Chirurgeon, and the hospital is in Beechworth, if required.
